How can I get the Page Viewer Web Part to work from the internet?

I have set up a couple pages in our sharepoint services site which are using
the Page Viewer Web Part. One is configured to an internal IP (192.168.0.55)
for viewing a web page which comes from a device on the network. The other is
configured as a folder view to a share on the same server which is running
    sharepoint.

Both of these pages work just fine from the internal LAN, but neither of
them work externally from the internet. Is it possible to accomplish this or
is this web part limited in this regard? If it is not possible using this web
part is there a solution that anyone knows of that can do this?

The most important issue is being able to display the status page from the
network device (internal IP 192.168.0.55). We need users to be able to have
access to this info while away form the office.

    Thank you.

Since it is an internal site users would have to be connected to your VPN if they are outside of your network, ie working from home.
