Custom Navigation and Views (To code or not code?)

     Hi,

I'm very new to sharepoint and I've been tasked with modifying a sharepoint site.  Right now the site consists of several lists representing projects, milestones, and tasks.  The relationship is a project has many milestones, and milestones have many tasks.  I'd like to create a custom navigation between these lists such that if I select a project it would should me the milestones associated with that project.  And the same goes for tasks.  Right now if I click on a milestone within a project it navigates me to the edit form for that milestone.  I'd rather it navigate me to the milestone view and filter the list by project so that I just see all the milestones associated with that project.  Would this require me to write C# code?

I also have several custom views I created on these lists.  They are Ghant views showing projects, milestones, and tasks.  However, I'd like to show both milestones and projects within one view.  Just like MS project does it.  Is this possible without coding my own web part?  Is there a MS project web part already available?  A related issue is that the ghant view is never filtered if I filter on one of the columns within the table underneath is there a way to change that too?

    Thanks

    Charlie
