    Infopath integration with MOSS 2007

    Hi,

I am trying to host Infopath forms on MOSS 2007. This forms can be accessed on the net by any one who doesn't have the Infopath client installed.

The infopath forms are web enabled. Now when the user edit the forms and wants to save it on his/her machine the save as draft options doesn't shows up.

I had tried to configure the form library setting but without any result.

Please help me in this regards,

Open up the form template (the XSN file) with InfoPath (client application).

Go to design mode. Click on Tools --> Form Options.

Under the "Browser" category, check if "Save As" is selected or not.

If it isn't, make sure it is checked.

Save the form and re-publish it.

    I hope this helps.

In the forms I have that are web enabled, when I click the Save as... link I get the following:

You can only save this file to the current site.

I didn't think that without opening the form in Infopath, you could get the option to save locally.

Further, if you could save locally from a web enabled form, that you are forced to use because you don't have InfoPath, would it do you any good since you can't edit it locally?

The best I can offer right now is that I have never seen this as an option, and that their table of features does not match their screenshot.  Note that the option to Save Draft and Open Draft they have listed in the table do not appear as checkboxes in the screenshot next to it.

Yes thats true.. even the refresh checkbox that they have shown doesnot come up in my machine. But from where they got that screenshot. I am using an RTM version of MOSS. Does it differ from  the enterprise version and those functionality are available only in Enter prise version

Sorry.  I'm not familiar with the RTM version at all, and the Enterprise version we have here, as far as I can find, does not have that option either.

Oh Great... if its not in Enterprise version then it will not available in any of the version

which means you cant belief on everything that Internet provide even if its related to the  Hi-fi technology like MOSS.

    Thanks a lot Shoyer

Just wanted to say THANK YOU!  I upgraded to Office 2007 for the sole purpose of creating web-based forms on Sharepoint, and that PDF helped me get over a few bumps in the road!  Excellent!
