Accessing Top Level site in MOSS2007

I had installed WSS3.0 on a server and had a default site(http:/srv1/default.aspx on port 80). This site was accessible by all authenticated users. I then installed MOSS2007 on top of WSS3.0 and everything went ok. The default site is still accessible by authnticated users. After installing I created a test site with URL http://mytest with anonymous access and with same named application pool. Site was successfully created and I assigned same authenticated users to this site also. But when I try to access this site it denies acess to it. I have addedd this URL to trusted site in IE(as was the case with previous site also).

What should I do so that I can acess this site? I am acessing srv1 remotely via citirx client.( Though this should nto be a constraint as I am still able to acess the site I created with WSS3.0).

I am using SQL Express as backend on same sever as MOSS/WSS installation.

Any help will be greately appricated and I want to thank you in advance.

    Bharat.

Access is denied for all users, anonymous users, or exactly whom?
