Using an infopath form to create a new item in a issue or task list.

I pretty sure I am missing something conceptual here, but for the life of me I cannot figure how to have an infopath form submit data directory to an item on a list.  I have an issues list, but I wanted a nicer interface to create a new issue.  I  have been playing with Infopath(2007) and I see how I can have it write to a document library, but that is not what I want.

    Any thoughts??

If you use a very small workflow, it creates a task automatically.

If you send a mail to (e.g.) task@myserver.com and you enable the "accept incomming mails" on your tasklist, it should work as well...

the other alternative (most logic one actually) is talk to the list using XML with the existing webservices...
open IIS, goto your site-collection. I cannot find it back right now, but it exsists anyway... somewhere :-)
It can't be that hard to write it yourself anyway... several people have done it before.

    good luck
