My Sites no longer available in MOSS 2007

Hi everyone.  Rank newbie here.  I setup a Sharepoint server and had everything running great.  Until I decided to change access to it from the UNC name of the server to a domain nam.  I adjusted the alternate path to use the domain and the site worked(s) fine otherwise.  However the "My Site" link has been broken and I am at a loss on how to get it functioning again.

To give an example,  I USED to type  "servername-1" to get to the site.  Now I use "Servername.com" and have lost access to the "My Site" link within the site.

Any ideas as to what my issue may be and a fix?

In the central administration site, go to your shared services administration site, click my site settings and in there you'll see my sites provider. Is it the old name?
