content query web part - viewing document libraries?

    Cool [H] content query web part - viewing document libraries?

    is it possible for a CQWP to display document libraries, i want to display a document library link (not the contents) within a page. this could be done using links but its not dynamic

    Not sure what's being asked here. You don't want to see a list of the documents, you have a link, but it's not dynamic. What's supposed to be dynamic about the link.

    Clarification, please.

    sorry it may sound confusing, basically want to add a web part that will show all the document libraries within that site.

    That's an interesting one that I haven't heard before. Out of the box, nope, not without some programming. However, if you think it through a little bit, you might be able to create a "fake" version.

    In each library, put a "readme" document. For the name of the document, use the name of the library with no file extension: "Shared Documents Library". Use a content query web part to expose any documents in the site by filtering for any document name that contains "Library".

    The problem with this solution is that the links within the web part will be pointing to your placeholder document, not your library.

    Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but that might give you some ideas for a workaround.
