I’ve setup a SharePoint site in my company's server, that I'm intending, in part, to handle a file “drop off” function. I want to give my staff permission to drop off a file in a folder but not be able to see other files in that folder. I’ve created the folders and the group I want to restrict but when I go to Advanced Permissions and Permission Levels to create a custom permission level it appears I can not select “Add” without having to include “View”. With the "view" right people cannot not only see all the files there but open and look at them. Is there any way around this, or is there another way to set this up within a SharePoint structure?
