Upload (Attach) and Download Multiple Documents to List Item

We are using wss 3.0 custom lists to track things.

We are attaching several document to each list item.

We would like to be about to upload (attach) multiple documents. The default behavior for attaching document to list items is the one by one.

We would also like to be able to then download multiple documents from a list item.

Could you provide sample or production code?

    Hi Barry,

I don't have specific production code to show you but I will be happy to walk you through the process.  As with any solution in SharePoint, there are many ways to implement this.  If this is something you wish to do with a single list, you can create a custom page that lives in the same directory as the other list pages.  Otherwise, if you wish to have something a bit more generic, you can create a custom page that lives in _layouts and pass the List GUID on the query string.

Do you have a preferred approach?

     Hi Bob,

I have a similar requirement as mentioned by Barry. We have a custom list which should be able to add multiple attachments at a time to the item and also capture the attachments MIME type.

Can you pl. guide me as how i can approach this. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,

     RK
