using alt project list in Timecard Template... Simple Question. Days wasted.

    Quite Straightforward...

MOSS 2007 site. (have access to Visual Studio 2008, Sharepoint Designer etc.)

    PROBLEM

Within the Timecard Management template, there is a Projects list.

i would like the Timecard site, (TIMETEST) to display/refer to the "Project list" and relevant "Project tasks", within the project site PROJTEST, created with the "Budgeting and Tracking Multiple Projects" application template.

Both webs are created at root.

(ideally they BOTH would refer to a seperate list, which i created also in the root, with custom site columns, such as proj_name, proj_keywords, proj_budgetDays.)

whenever/whatever i edit (webpart/view IDs, URLs), whatever trick, fake, prayer, i try... it breaks.

thought i had quite a good understanding of majority of Sharepoint subjects, OOP knowledge, but not this... pulling hair out. cannot dwell, pseudo code any longer... please help!
