    Hi there, i'm a 'novice' in WSS and i want to know if it's  possible to migrate & (re)deploy my local WSS V3.0

    sites and database from my local server to a remote hosting server.

    You can accomplish this by using the backup and restore functions of SharePoint Designer.  Just make sure that the hosting company doesn't apply a template to your site otherwise it won't work.
