  • When viewing some user's blogs, any uploaded document with a PDF extension show as an X instead of a PDF icon.

    This mainly occurs when they have a webpart where they want to share a few documents. In the webpart any of the pdf documents have the red x but zip files and word files don't have this issue.     The blog posts and comments are stored in separate lists, so you can setup permissions separately. When you are on the blog, click the "View All Site Content" link on the top left. This will show you all the different lists that you can setup permission on.

    Hello all, Maybe someone can help me? I'm looking for a way to limit the security on a sharepoint blog in the following manner: A certain security group is allowed to read all post, add comments but is not allowed to add posts. So only comments! Does anyone know how to set that up? Thanks
