How to delete a systemwide alert

I need to modify an alert that I set up for "All Users" but when I go to the page where alert was created, it shows no alerts. I am able to delete all other kinds of alerts except those sent to a list. Is this a rights issue? If so, how would I do it if I had the correct rights?
