  • Have to click each button twice

I am developing a data entry Web Part for use on our WSS site. Everything was going well, I was able to read/search the database and make updates/inserts into the database. But now, in my web part, I must click each button twice in order for the page to respond correctly. It seems that on the first button...

  • Reuse Checkin.aspx & Checkout.aspx from another page?

I have a webpart that is a view into a global shared library. I'd like to enable the users to checkin, checkout and edit documents from the webpart rather than having to go to the global shared library. I'll admit I am coming at this from csharp and I'm not that knowledgeable about ASP.NET...

  • Web Parts Missing for Site Owners

I have a weird problem happening. We are using WSS 3.0. We have a site collection abc.123.com. We also have a site collection abc.123.com/sites/misc. When I log into the MISC site collection as the site collection admin I get the full list of available web parts. When I log in with a user that is in...

  • Problems can't see my webpart...

Web Part in VB using the web part template. My setup: WSS 3.0 is installed on Server 2003, IIS 6.0, w/VS2005 and the VseWSS Toolkit. I've set up a Server Farm Env. I've coded a webpart that just calls info from SQLSVR Express and displays that data in the webpart. I don't know exactly what...

  • People Core Results Web Part Limit?

I'm planning on using this web part to display a directory of different information across all departments. I would probably need about nine of these on the same page. However, when using the Cross-Web Part query ID, it only allows five. I noticed that if you have two web parts that use the same...

  • Re: How to display a list of Wiki Articles?

Dggcoop: Thank you for the reply. I wonder if maybe I'm missing a "Wiki List" Web Part. In my list of Web Parts on the main Wiki page, I don't have anything called "Wiki List." Am I understanding correctly? Thanks again, Nebulous

  • How to display a list of Wiki Articles?

I'm just getting started with customizing MOSS on our Intranet. I'm a power user/content editor, not a systems guy or developer. I created a Wiki. I'm now trying to add a Web Part that lists the articles/pages in the Wiki -- an Index of sorts. I thought I could do that with the Content Query...

The vendor of the solution stated that in order for this to work, I need to pass the current logged in users email address to a page that resides on another server. I am a fairly new to writing web parts, so all help is welcome. Basically...

  • VB vs. C# in Web Part Development

I have seen tons of examples from around the web on creating custom web parts for deplotment in MOSS '07. I have noticed that 9 times out of 10 those examples or tutorials are written in C#. Is there a reason that most people are using C# instead of VB for this type of work?

  • Re: Any descriptive lists of built-in Web Parts?

Harhar - This is something that is currently in the works at EndUserSharePoint.com. I am creating a definition list for all web parts that will include use case scenarios. Keep an eye on the site and poke me once in a while to get an update... probably best if you signed up on the email list because...
